Products

The workspace product catalog. Programs, ebooks, template packs, consulting, memberships, and shipped physical goods. Each product sells through Stripe checkout, with stock, variants, shipping, reviews and dropshipping.

Overview

Products manages everything the workspace sells outside of calls and invoices. A product has a kind (program, ebook, template_pack, consulting, membership, physical), a price, a currency, a delivery mode, and a storefront card with cover image and gallery. Active products show up on the public shop of the workspace site.

The delivery mode decides what happens after payment. A curriculum opens course access, a file_download serves protected files, an external_link points to a resource, a booking triggers a reservation, or nothing for a physical good whose logistics run through orders.

For ecommerce and dropshipping, a physical product carries stock, variants (color, size), a weight, a struck-through compare-at price, a supplier and a purchase cost to compute margin. Checkout creates an order, applies shipping and coupons, charges through Stripe Connect, then the webhook flips the order to paid and decrements stock.

What the module does

Product kinds

Six kinds cover digital and physical. The kind drives delivery and storefront display. A physical product turns on stock and shipping logistics, the others stay digital or services.

  • program: course with curriculum access
  • ebook and template_pack: file download
  • consulting: service, often tied to a booking
  • membership: recurring-access subscription
  • physical: shipped good, stock and shipping

Digital delivery and protected files

A product can carry privately stored files. After purchase, the member only retrieves files for products they own, through ownership-based access resolution. You manage files from the product page, and grant or revoke a member's access.

Physical ecom: variants, stock, gallery

A physical product splits into variants with their own SKU, options, price and stock. Each product has a storefront image gallery. Inventory tracking is optional, with a low-stock threshold, backorder allowance, and weight for shipping calculation.

  • Variants with SKU, options, price and stock per line
  • Inventory tracking with low threshold and backorder
  • Weight in grams for shipping fees
  • Ordered storefront image gallery

Orders and Stripe checkout

Product checkout mirrors the Booking flow: per-workspace gateway resolution as Stripe Connect direct-charge, creation of a pending order, then a Stripe Checkout session. Price and title are authoritative server-side, never the client. The product_order webhook flips the order to paid and updates stock.

  • Order status: pending, paid, cancelled, refunded
  • Fulfillment status: unfulfilled, partial, fulfilled
  • Order number, customer details and shipping address
  • Shipment tracking: number and tracking link

Shipping and delivery fees

Flat-rate or weight-based shipping rates apply at checkout. Each rate targets countries, a weight range, and can go free above a threshold amount. The calculation picks the right rate from the country, cart weight and subtotal.

Dropshipping, margin and reviews

A product can reference a supplier and a purchase cost to read margin against the sale price. Customers leave reviews rated 1 to 5, moderated before publishing (pending, published, rejected), with a verified-purchase badge. The published average feeds the storefront card.

How to use it

  1. 01

    Create the product

From /products/new, pick the kind, price, currency, delivery, and write the storefront card with cover and description.

  2. 02

    Set up the content

Attach digital files, or for a physical good add variants, stock, weight and image gallery.

  3. 03

    Wire the sale

Connect Stripe and, for ecom, set shipping rates in /orders/shipping and suppliers in /orders/suppliers.

  4. 04

    Publish to the shop

Activate the product. It shows up on the public shop of the workspace site, ready for checkout.

  5. 05

    Collect the order

The customer pays through Stripe Connect, the order flips to paid, stock is decremented, digital access is delivered to the member.

  6. 06

    Fulfill and track

For physical goods, mark the order shipped with a tracking number from /orders, and moderate customer reviews.
